Job Description
This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Food and Beverage Division within the Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Department at Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR), located at Naval Station Everett (NSE). The NAF Food and Beverage Division plays a crucial role in supporting the morale and welfare of the Navy community by managing various food and beverage services. These services include the Essential Station Mess program, All American Restaurant, Pierside Grill, Catering Services, MWR Concessionaires, and CNIC Branded Food concepts. This division ensures that all food service operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with established regulations and standards, enhancing the dining experience for military personnel, their families, and authorized patrons.
The incumbent in this role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of these diverse food and beverage outlets. This includes managing staff, coordinating catering events, and ensuring adherence to cash handling procedures and pricing strategies. The role requires a strong understanding of Non-Appropriated Fund policies and cash management protocols, as well as proficiency in various computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and specialized operational systems like KRONOS, RECTRAC, SAP Accounting, and CATEREASE. Additionally, the incumbent must be capable of learning and utilizing property management systems to support overall operational effectiveness.
This position offers a negotiable benefit of either reimbursement for relocation expenses or a $2,000 sign-on bonus, emphasizing the organization's commitment to attracting qualified candidates. Employment type is classified as "Other," meaning it may not fall under traditional civilian or military employment categories but remains a vital component of the Naval Station's support infrastructure.

Job Requirements
- Two years general experience demonstrating progressively responsible administrative, professional and technical work involving knowledge of food and beverage operations and catering
- Minimum of one year specialized experience managing food and beverage operations
Job Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic principles, concepts, standards, regulations and administration of food and beverage operations and catering
- Knowledge of Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) policies and procedures
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures, cost of goods and pricing structures
- Skill in Microsoft Office programs and other operating systems used in the program area
- Ability to supervise a diverse employee base
- Ability to deal effectively with subordinates, supervisory and management officials and patrons
- Ability to learn new computer programs for timekeeping, point of sale, accounting and catering operations
- Ability to learn and use the property management system
- Ability to perform the full range of supervisory duties
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with tact and diplomacy
Job Duties
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Essential Station Mess program
