The Food and Beverage Manager at Fred Enke Golf Course plays a vital leadership role, overseeing all Food and Beverage (F&B) operations at this prestigious facility. This position demands a proactive and strategic manager, responsible for budget management, staff recruitment, training, and performance oversight. The successful candidate is expected to ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service and operational excellence, often going above and beyond to exceed guest expectations. The F&B Manager directs the front-of-house staff, including bartenders, beverage cart drivers, and snack bar attendants, cultivating a team culture focused on quality service and professionalism.

In this role, the manager will be tasked with the rigorous oversight of daily F&B accounting procedures, cost control measures, and monthly inventory checks to sustain financial prudence. Marketing expertise is also essential, as the manager will develop and execute F&B sales and banquet marketing programs aimed at revenue growth. Coordination with other departments and compliance with Troon's policies, health regulations, liquor laws, and local government standards are critical responsibilities. Job Duties

  • Provides daily management of the Front of House F&B department
  • hires, supervises, and develops bartenders, beverage cart drivers, snack bar attendants, and other employees in the Front of House F&B department
  • conducts training and refresher classes for all Front of House F&B personnel in the correct procedures
  • provides daily oversight of Front of House F&B accounting procedures
  • manages forecasting and budgets pertaining to F&B operations
  • maintains cost controls and conducts a monthly inventory
  • implements and maintains F&B sales and marketing programs
  • develops and implements marketing programs to increase banquet business
  • manages alcohol and beverage ordering
  • follows the purchase order (PO) buying process
  • oversees quality assurance, guest service, and training of all employees
  • upholds Troon Food and Beverage policies
  • institutes and implements all Troon Human Resources guidelines
  • facilitates coordination between all departments
  • develops and implements creative strategies to increase revenues
  • plans and coordinates special events and functions
  • responsible for overall guest satisfaction
  • ensures all employees are conducting themselves in a professional manner
  • performs daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations
  • complies with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, fire, and other local and state laws
  • oversees closing procedures and appropriate cash handling practices
  • performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
