The Food & Beverage Manager role at the InterContinental Seattle Bellevue is a key leadership position responsible for managing multiple outlets while delivering high-quality guest experiences. Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager, this role demands a comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage operations, strong people management skills, exceptional customer service capabilities, and a track record of success in high-volume hospitality settings. The manager is responsible for motivating and developing teams, maintaining high standards for food and beverage service while adhering to responsible business practices, and overseeing budgets and revenue targets in collaboration with the Hotel Manager and finance team. Job Requirements

3-5 years of progressive hotel food and beverage experience
at least 3 years experience in a senior food and beverage role
proven leadership skills
high energy and entrepreneurial spirit
ability to interact effectively with diverse groups
excellent communication skills in English
proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
must have current and valid WA food handler's and MAST permit
must be available to work evenings and weekends
prior experience with POS systems preferred

Job Duties

Managing, coaching, and developing a team of committed hospitality professionals
delivering exceptional guest and corporate experiences by setting high standards and finding new ways to exceed them
managing food and beverage standards to deliver against commitment to responsible business practices
working closely with the Hotel Manager and finance team to set, monitor and refine budgets and drive revenue
multitasking to oversee multiple food and beverage outlets, banquets, and in-room dining facilities as well as a number of managers and supervisors
motivating and managing a team of front of the house colleagues for food and beverage
assisting with the budget, marketing plans and objectives and managing within those approved plans
implementing and maintaining food and beverage sales and marketing programs
mentorship and overseeing the development of employees
hiring, training, empowering, coaching/counseling and conducting annual performance reviews
directing the implementation of payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for food and beverage operations
coordinating food and beverage operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service
resolving guest complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
implementing procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction
exercising quality control for both food and beverage
maintaining standards of service and ensuring their implementation
performing daily walk-throughs to ensure compliance with Department of Health regulations and brand standards
coaching and counseling employees to reflect brand service standards and procedures
maintaining schedules for multiple outlets each week based on forecast and event schedules
ensuring all colleagues maintain current food and alcohol permits at all times
must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed
