Job Description

Celebration Cinema Rivertown, located in Grandville, MI, is a vibrant and dynamic entertainment venue dedicated to providing guests with memorable movie experiences complemented by excellent food and beverage service. As part of the larger Celebration Cinema family, a well-established chain known for its community-centered approach and commitment to quality service, this location prides itself on creating an inviting space where stories come alive through film and customer interactions. The company culture emphasizes core values such as Service, Trust, Empathy, Playfulness, and Courage, ensuring that every team member contributes to an atmosphere that is not only professional but also enjoyable and collaborative. Celebration Cinema Rivertown goes beyond just showing movies by focusing on the little details that make each visit special, including great food, thoughtful drinks, and attentive hospitality.

The Food & Beverage Manager role at Celebration Cinema Rivertown is a pivotal position that combines leadership, operational oversight, and guest-focused hospitality to deliver a seamless dining and entertainment experience. The role is designed for an experienced candidate who is passionate about food, drinks, and customer service in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment. This manager will lead all food and beverage operations with a strong emphasis on guest experience, quality, and consistency, ensuring that every guest leaves with a story worth telling. The position involves ordering, monitoring, and controlling food and alcohol inventory, managing food costs, and maintaining concession, bar, and kitchen areas along with all related equipment. Maintaining high standards for recipe execution, portion control, food safety, and alcohol awareness is crucial to this role.

In addition to overseeing food and beverage operations, the Food & Beverage Manager will support theatre operations, occasionally serving as the Theatre Manager-in-Charge, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests. Responsibilities extend to enforcing cash-handling policies, supporting both public showings and private events, and reviewing financial and operational reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

Leadership and team development form another critical aspect of the role. The manager will train, coach, and lead teams to deliver what the company calls "Celebrated Service" while fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful team environment. They will delegate responsibilities, provide regular feedback, performance coaching, and motivation to ensure operational goals are met. Safety, sanitation, security, and compliance standards must be upheld continuously, and participation in hiring and onboarding processes is also expected.

This is a full-time position in a busy, lively setting, ideal for individuals who thrive on leadership challenges and enjoy working with dynamic teams. Celebration Cinema Rivertown offers competitive benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, 401(k), and several employee perks such as free movies and discounted concessions, embodying a company culture that celebrates diversity and inclusion. Overall, this role is perfect for those who want to combine their passion for food service and hospitality with a strong leadership opportunity in a place where guests' experiences are paramount.
