The role of the Restaurant Manager at Six|Seven Restaurant and Lounge is a hands-on leadership position that demands energy, service orientation, and operational expertise. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant and lounge management, ensuring the highest standards of service are met while maintaining compliant and efficient operations. The successful candidate will approach every guest interaction with attentiveness, friendliness, and professionalism, embodying the spirit and standards of the restaurant and hotel. Responsibilities span from managing budgets, compliance with health codes and liquor laws, to training and motivating the front-of-house team. This role requires a strong leader who can organize, delegate, and respond promptly to challenges while maintaining a high-quality dining experience.

The Restaurant Manager will also have primary management responsibilities over the restaurant, lounge, private dining rooms, lobby service, and in-room dining. They must stay current with industry trends to keep the establishment competitive and profitable. Communication and coordination with hotel and restaurant management teams are key to addressing operational challenges and enhancing service delivery. This role involves organizing department meetings and training sessions, purchasing food and beverage items within budget, and ensuring that the standards for credit policies and guest service expectations are consistently met. The candidate must be flexible with scheduling, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, emphasizing a commitment to the dynamic hospitality environment. Job Requirements

  • At least 1-3 years supervisory or management experience in an upscale independent or high volume hotel restaurant
  • flexible schedule with ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays
  • excellent communication skills
  • valid Food Workers Card
  • Class 12 Mixologist Permit valid in the State of Washington

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency of the English language
  • excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • ability to organize, delegate and work under pressure
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook and the Internet
  • must hold a current Food Workers Card and a Class 12 Mixologist Permit valid in the State of Washington
  • previous experience overseeing associates under a collective bargaining agreement preferred
  • previous experience with Micros is a plus

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
  • comply with standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
  • have knowledge of F&B preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations
  • respond to guest concerns in a timely manner
  • monitor department performance with respect to F&B budget
  • monitor industry trends and take appropriate action to maintain competitive and profitable operations
  • communicate strongly with Hotel and Restaurant Managers regarding challenges requiring attention
  • organize and conduct department meetings and trainings
  • ensure timely purchase of budgeted F&B items
  • ensure training of all FOH associates
  • motivate, coach and counsel all FOH associates
  • maintain standards concerning credit policies
  • attend BEO meetings
  • perform all other duties as required by the operation
  • manage primary areas including restaurant, lounge, private dining room, lobby service and in room dining
