Meadow Ridge is currently inviting applications for a Full-Time Dining Services (Food & Beverage) Manager position. This role is quintessential in managing all service aspects of the Independent Living dining outlets, which include a prestigious 5-star restaurant, a cozy café, and an upcoming Pub concept. The Dining Services Manager is responsible for upholding the highest standards of appearance, hospitality, and service within the dining venues. This includes ensuring professional conduct and cleanliness of staff and dining areas. The role also involves hiring, supervising, training, and counseling dining room personnel, focusing on cultivating a high-performance team dedicated to delivering exemplary customer service to residents. As an integral part of the Dining Services management team, the Dining Services Manager reports directly to the Director of Dining Services and collaborates closely with the Assistant Director of Dining Services, fellow Dining Services Managers, and the Culinary leadership team. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent interpersonal skills, and a profound understanding of the unique needs of a senior living community. Salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $72,000 annually, reflecting the importance of this role within Meadow Ridge and Benchmark Senior Living. Job Requirements
- Ability to communicate with, understand, empathize with, work with and be tolerant of residents, patients, families, visitors, peers, supervisors, subordinates and other outside contacts
- Must maintain a courteous, friendly and helpful attitude with residents at all times
- Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate communication skills with individuals of all ages, especially seniors
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year supervisory experience in front of the house operations
- Bartending and bar management experience a plus
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree or courses in Hotel and Restaurant Management preferred
- Minimum of one year supervisory experience in front of the house operations within a restaurant, hotel, club, or similar institution
- Bartending and bar management experience considered a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior populations
- Knowledge of customer service standards and hospitality best practices
Job Duties
- Manage all service aspects of Independent Living dining outlets including a 5-star restaurant, a café, and a forthcoming Pub concept
- Assure high standards of appearance, hospitality, and service among personnel and cleanliness of dining rooms
- Hire, supervise, train, and counsel dining room staff to achieve excellent levels of customer service
- Collaborate closely with Director of Dining Services and the Dining Services management team
- Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards
- Foster a positive team environment focused on resident satisfaction
- Lead service quality improvements and resolve service issues promptly
