Job Description
Wawa, Inc. is a renowned convenience store and foodservice retailer operating primarily on the East Coast of the United States. Established with a mission to make life better every day for its customers and communities, Wawa has developed a reputation for exceptional customer service, fresh food offerings, and an inclusive work environment. Known for its iconic hoagies, quality beverages, and friendly atmosphere, Wawa continues to grow its chain of stores, each committed to the brand's core values of service, community, and continuous improvement. Wawa operates as a team of Associate owners who contribute to shaping the company's success by caring for customers and each other. The company's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion fosters a respectful and welcoming workplace for all Associates, where everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and advance in their careers.
As a Food & Beverage Manager (FBM) at Wawa, you will play an integral role in overseeing all food and beverage operations within the store. This full-time position requires a passionate leader who is dedicated to ensuring that every aspect of the store's foodservice—from fresh menu items like hoagies and grab-and-go meals to beverages and catering—is managed with precision and a high standard of quality. You will work closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to drive operational success, focusing on delivering an exceptional customer experience consistently. A key part of your responsibilities will include monitoring food service sales, identifying trends, and devising action plans to optimize results, ensuring that customer satisfaction remains a top priority.
The FBM is also the in-store expert on food programs, promotions, and marketing initiatives, tasked with owning and delivering training to Customer Service Associates to enhance their skills and motivate top-tier customer service. Supporting hiring, scheduling, team development, and recognizing outstanding performance are critical to building a cohesive and effective team. Maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting food service area that complies with all health and safety standards is paramount to the role, as is overseeing inventory, ordering, and equipment upkeep to guarantee smooth operations.
This position offers an hourly pay range of $22.70 to $30.60, commensurate with experience and location, along with eligibility for monthly bonus incentives. Wawa's commitment to its Associates is reflected in the comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and mental health benefits, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k) with matching, educational assistance programs, store discounts, paid time off, and paid parental leave. Wawa fosters a supportive environment where accommodations for applicants and Associates needing assistance are readily offered, reinforcing the company’s dedication to fairness, equity, and inclusion in all employment practices.
