The role of Food and Beverage Manager at InterContinental Seattle Bellevue is an exciting opportunity for hospitality professionals passionate about delivering outstanding guest experiences. Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior food and beverage role
- Proven leadership ability
- Strong communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Current and valid Washington food handler’s and MAST permit
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Prior experience with POS systems preferred
Job Qualifications
- Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- 3-5 years or more of progressive hotel food and beverage experience
- Service oriented style with professional presentation skills
- At least 3 years experience in a senior food and beverage role
- Proven leadership skills
- High energy and entrepreneurial spirit
- Motivational leader with a proven track record in high volume concepts
- Effective communicator
- Proficient in providing exceptional customer service and improving the bottom line
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills in English
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

- Experience implementing new food and beverage concepts
- Must have current and valid Washington food handler’s and MAST permit

Job Duties
- Managing, coaching, and developing a team of committed hospitality professionals
- Delivering exceptional guest and corporate experiences by setting high standards and finding new ways to exceed them
- Managing food and beverage standards to deliver against commitment to responsible business practices
- Working closely with the Hotel Manager and finance team to set, monitor and refine budgets and drive revenue
- Overseeing multiple food and beverage outlets, banquets, and in-room dining facilities including managing managers and supervisors
- Motivating and managing a team of front of the house colleagues
- Assisting with the budget, marketing plans and objectives
- Implementing and maintaining food and beverage sales and marketing programs
- Mentorship and overseeing employee development
- Hiring, training, coaching, counseling and conducting annual performance reviews
- Directing payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for food and beverage
- Coordinating operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service
- Resolving guest complaints to maintain customer satisfaction and quality
- Implementing procedures to increase guest and associate satisfaction
- Exercising quality control for food and beverage
- Maintaining standards of service and ensuring their implementation
- Performing daily walk-throughs to ensure compliance with health regulations and brand standards
- Coaching and counseling employees to reflect brand standards and procedures
- Maintaining schedules for multiple outlets based on forecast and event schedules
- Ensuring all colleagues maintain current food and alcohol permits at all times
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed
- Performing other duties as assigned
