Job Description

This position is for a Food and Beverage Manager who will effectively lead and manage the staff and daily operations of the food and beverage department within a high-caliber hospitality setting. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of superior food and beverage menu items and services that provide guests with a memorable and exceptional dining experience. The Food and Beverage Manager will take ownership of the financial aspects of the operations while fostering a positive work environment that aligns with HHM’s core values of People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, and Only Excellence.

The ideal candidate will oversee the entire food and beverage function, including interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, coaching, and supporting associates to maintain high standards of performance and guest satisfaction consistent with the brand or hotel standards. They will ensure that food quality is consistent, visually appealing, and prepared to guest specifications. Compliance with sanitation, safety standards, and legal regulations such as those pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages is a critical responsibility.

In addition to operational leadership, this individual will be tasked with visually inspecting and maintaining the restaurant’s appearance to create an appealing atmosphere for guests. They will oversee equipment maintenance to ensure all tools and machines are in working order to support service quality. Active participation in marketing efforts for the restaurants will also be a key focus to help drive revenue and guest engagement.

The Food and Beverage Manager will utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to handle internal and external customer interactions with patience, tact, and diplomacy, reinforcing positive guest relations. Inventory management is a significant duty, requiring documentation, forecasting usage, and monitoring supplies to keep the restaurant well-stocked with necessary items such as linen, glassware, silverware, china, and condiments.

Safety is integral to this role, involving the practice of safe work habits, adherence to OSHA standards, use of protective safety equipment, and compliance with MSDS protocols. The candidate must be physically capable of operating within the restaurant and kitchen environment, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

This is a dynamic and demanding position that requires flexibility in scheduling, often including varied shifts, holidays, and weekends. Candidates must be prepared to engage in a fast-paced hospitality environment while upholding the highest standards of guest experience and operational excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Prior management experience in restaurants

Job Duties

  • Interview, select, train, schedule, coach and support associates ensuring they perform in accordance with established brand or hotel standards and consistent with HHM core values
  • Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction in food and beverage outlets ensuring food quality is consistent, appealing, and prepared according to recipe and to guest specifications
  • Ensure the restaurant complies with sanitation and safety standards for guests and associates
  • Visually inspect and take action to ensure the appearance of facilities is appealing and attractive to guests
  • Effectively deal with internal and external customers with a high level of patience, tact and diplomacy
  • Ensure all equipment is in working order
  • Participate in marketing efforts of the restaurants as directed
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food in outlet
  • Document inventory, forecast usage and monitor supply so restaurants are adequately stocked with linen, glassware, silverware, china, condiments in order to provide service
  • Abide by all regulations and requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
  • Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
  • Perform other duties as requested by management
