The position available is a full-time Management role based in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the JW Marriott property located at 2552 Kalakaua Ave. This role offers an annual salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 and includes eligibility for bonuses. As a Food and Beverage Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the Food and Beverage (F&B) department, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, standards, and procedures. Your leadership will be essential in maintaining superior service quality, upholding brand standards, and fulfilling customer expectations consistently.

This role requires managing various aspects such as ordering of supplies, staffing supervision, and supporting monthly self-inspection programs to maintain departmental excellence. You will be expected to administer the operating budget prudently while ensuring adherence to legal obligations. The successful candidate will develop and implement specific goals and operational plans that prioritize efficiency, organization, and productivity. Importantly, the role demands a hands-on approach by understanding team member duties sufficiently to perform in their absence when necessary. Job Requirements

  • four years experience in food and beverage, culinary or related professional area
  • or two-year degree from an accredited university in food service management, hotel and restaurant management, hospitality, business administration or related major

Job Duties

  • Assists in ordering food and beverage supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms
  • supervises daily food and beverage shift operation and monitors compliance with all food and beverage policies, standards and procedures
  • supports and supervises an effective monthly self inspection program
  • operates all department equipment as necessary and reports malfunction
  • supervises staffing levels to verify that guest service, operational needs and financial objective are met
  • encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members
  • understands employee positions well enough to perform duties in employees' absence
  • develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work
