The Director of Restaurants role at Timarron Country Club in Southlake, TX, is a critical leadership position within this esteemed organization. This role involves overseeing all daily food and beverage operations, working in close partnership with the Director of Food & Beverage and the Executive Chef to uphold exceptional service standards, culinary excellence, and operational efficiency. The Director of Restaurants ensures that the club’s restaurant outlets consistently deliver high-quality dining experiences that meet and exceed member expectations. This position involves managing 1-4 food and beverage outlets, coordinating staffing, ensuring adherence to service protocols, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.

In this role, the Director of Restaurants will play an active, hands-on role during busy and slower periods, stepping into service responsibilities as needed to maintain smooth operations. Leadership and member engagement are key aspects of the position, with a strong focus on fostering a welcoming atmosphere that drives member satisfaction and retention. The Director is also responsible for managing departmental financial performance, including budgeting, expense control, payroll forecasting, and revenue optimization.

This opportunity is ideal for a professional with a minimum of five years of experience in club management or a related food and beverage leadership role. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and relevant certifications such as Food Handlers Certificate, Alcohol Safety, ABC Certification, and CPR Certification are preferred. Job Duties

  • Maintain exceptional member relations and facilities through staffing, programming, service operations, and maintenance
  • Communicate with members on group and individual levels to exceed expectations
  • Ensure service recovery programs are implemented and staff trained
  • Monitor department expenses, including revenue-to-payroll ratio, and utilize forecasting systems
  • Conduct scheduled inventories and manage administration processes
  • Oversee front-of-house scheduling to meet budgeted labor targets and control time reporting
  • Execute menus, promotions, and programs as outlined by the Director of Food & Beverage
  • Ensure compliance with food sanitation and safety regulations
  • Conduct daily walkthroughs to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • Select and develop a qualified team of service excellence employees
  • Develop employee careers through reviews, cross-training, and development plans
  • Foster a work environment focused on teamwork, respect, and member satisfaction
  • Implement and execute training programs consistently and timely
  • Hold weekly service training sessions and perform line-ups twice daily
  • Collaborate with member committees for activity and event development
  • Work with Food & Beverage team to enhance member experiences
