The role of Food and Beverage Manager at Legions/ASM Global is a critical leadership position within the Food and Beverage Department, reporting directly to the Director of Food and Beverage Services. This salaried exempt position demands a highly skilled manager who can oversee all food and beverage activities for events at the venue. The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for directing all aspects of food and beverage operations, ensuring that client needs are met with precision and that every event runs smoothly and to the highest standards. Essential responsibilities include establishing client food and beverage requirements, developing event menus and pricing strategies, and supervising and coordinating staff activities to deliver exceptional service. The role also includes managing inventory control, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and performing quality control checks on food preparation and presentation.
Beyond operational responsibilities, the Food and Beverage Manager plays a strategic role in supporting the creation of sales projections and budgets related to food and beverage services, emphasizing cost control and efficient resource management. Supervisory duties are significant in this role, as the manager is responsible for leading teams across Catering, Concessions, or Kitchen units, which includes hiring, training, evaluating performance, and handling employee relations in collaboration with Human Resources. Candidates for this position should bring a strong background in food and beverage management, preferably holding a bachelor’s degree in a related field and with a minimum of five years of management experience. Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills are essential for success in this role, as is the ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is expected to support administrative and budgeting tasks. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Establishes client food and beverage and operational needs for the event
- Develops menus/themes for the event and establishes pricing for services
- Assists in developing work plans including scheduling and ordering, and assigns appropriate duties to subordinates
- Oversees Food and Beverage operations during event to ensure client satisfaction and quality control standards
- Inspects food service facilities to ensure compliance with health laws and internal regulations
- Assists with creation of Food and Beverage sales projections and budgets for facility events
- Maintains inventory control
- Assists with analysis of daily food sales, patron attendance, and labor costs to prepare budget and maintain cost control
- Inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality and sanitation standards
- Works within guidelines for food and labor costs
- Manages employees in the Food and Beverage Department including hiring, training, appraising performance, and addressing workplace issues
