The Food & Beverage Manager position at Hidden Valley Country Club is a dynamic, hands-on leadership role designed for an energetic professional with a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing all food and beverage service operations throughout the Club’s multiple service outlets including the main restaurant and bar, pool snack and pool bars, two on-course beverage carts, and all member dining and social events. The Food & Beverage Manager will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef, Golf Operations team, and Club leadership to ensure consistency and high standards of service delivery that align with both Troon and Hidden Valley’s service excellence guidelines.
This full-time leadership position is responsible for directing daily front-of-house operations, maintaining impeccable service standards, managing multiple revenue centers, and fostering a high-performing team culture. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing upscale hospitality environments such as private clubs, resorts, or hotels where they have demonstrated success in delivering exceptional member satisfaction and operational efficiency. They will be adept at implementing Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring compliance with safety and service policies, and addressing member concerns with professionalism and urgency.
Beyond operational leadership, the Food & Beverage Manager plays a key role in hosting and executing member events, coordinating with culinary and operational teams to ensure flawless planning and execution. They will lead staffing efforts, performance coaching, scheduling, and labor management while maintaining tight control over beverage inventory and costs. Financial acumen is critical, as the manager will assist with budgeting, forecasting, and month-end reporting to optimize resource allocation and operational profitability.
This position demands flexibility to accommodate evening, weekend, holiday, and special event schedules, reflecting the Club’s vibrant social calendar and commitment to guest excellence. Physical stamina and the ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions are essential due to the hands-on nature of the role. Proficient use of Microsoft Office, POS systems, and hospitality management software (such as Troon, Club Essential, Jonas, or Northstar) are highly desirable.

Job Duties
- Direct and oversee all front-of-house food and beverage operations
- Manage the Club restaurant, bar, pool snack bar, pool bar, and beverage cart operations
- Ensure all outlets operate in accordance with Troon and Hidden Valley Country Club service standards
- Develop, implement, and maintain departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Monitor service execution and continuously identify opportunities to improve the member experience
- Ensure proper opening, closing, and cash handling procedures are consistently followed
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and personalized service to members and guests
- Foster a culture centered on service excellence, accountability, and teamwork
- Address member concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the Club during operating hours
- Collaborate with Club leadership to enhance member programming and dining experiences
- Lead execution of all Hidden Valley Country Club member events
- Coordinate staffing, service plans, room setups, timelines, and operational logistics for Club events
- Work closely with culinary and operational teams to ensure seamless event execution
- Participate in planning and development of new dining and social experiences that drive member engagement
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop front-of-house associates
- Create and manage staff schedules based on business levels and labor budgets
- Conduct regular performance coaching and associate evaluations
- Foster a positive and productive team culture
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and service standards
- Manage beverage inventory, ordering, receiving, and monthly inventory processes
- Monitor labor costs, beverage costs, and operating expenses
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
