Job Description
Wawa, Inc. is a well-established convenience store and gas station chain known for its commitment to quality service and community engagement. Founded in 1964 and headquartered in Pennsylvania, Wawa has grown into a trusted brand with over 900 locations spanning several states across the East Coast of the United States. The company prides itself on delivering an exceptional customer experience, driven by the dedication and passion of its Associates who share the goal of making life better every day through thoughtful service, delicious food offerings, and a welcoming environment. Wawa is more than just a place to grab a hoagie or coffee; it is a community-focused retailer that values inclusivity, teamwork, and opportunity for its employees. It has built a loyal customer base by continuously optimizing its food and beverage programs, maintaining high standards for freshness and quality, and fostering a positive workplace culture where Associates can thrive and grow their careers.
As a Food & Beverage Manager (FBM) at Wawa, you play a pivotal role in shaping the store's food and beverage operations. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic team alongside the General Manager and Assistant General Manager, driving operational excellence and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all food programs, including fresh food, grab-and-go meals, beverages, and catering services, run efficiently and meet Wawa's high-quality standards. You will be instrumental in delivering consistent, fresh, and customer-focused experiences daily to help grow food service sales and meet performance goals.
In addition to overseeing the operational aspects, the FBM acts as the in-store expert on all food-related programs, promotions, and marketing initiatives, ensuring they are executed effectively. Training and mentoring Customer Service Associates to enhance their proficiency and commitment to outstanding customer service falls under your leadership, emphasizing team development and motivation. You will also be responsible for key tasks like managing scheduling, supporting hiring efforts, maintaining inventory control, ordering supplies, and ensuring the upkeep of equipment. Upholding health and safety standards is critical to your role, as you maintain a clean and safe food service environment.
Wawa offers a competitive hourly wage for this position, ranging from $24.00 to $32.40, commensurate with experience and location, along with additional monthly bonus incentives. The company is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to applicants and Associates as required by law. Wawa also fosters an inclusive environment that respects diversity and prohibits any form of discrimination, making it a great place for those who want to be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team ready to soar to new heights together.
