The Food & Beverage Manager (FBM) role at Wawa is an exciting leadership position that plays a critical role in the daily operations of each store’s food service department. The FBM works closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to ensure that food and beverage operations are executed smoothly, efficiently, and consistently, providing customers with fresh, high-quality products and excellent service. Responsibilities include managing food programs like fresh food offerings, grab-and-go meals, beverages, and catering services. Additionally, the FBM becomes the in-store expert on food-related promotions and marketing initiatives, aligning the team with Wawa’s brand standards and customer experience goals. A significant part of the role involves training and motivating Customer Service Associates to ensure they deliver outstanding service, while also supporting hiring, scheduling, and continuous team development. The Food & Beverage Manager ensures that the food service environment meets health and safety regulations by maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Operational efficiency is supported through diligent inventory management, ordering processes, and equipment upkeep. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Strong leadership experience preferably in food service or retail
- Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask, make decisions, and drive change in a fast-paced setting
- Skilled problem-solving abilities to enhance results and operations

Job Duties
- Take ownership of our food and beverage programs—fresh food, grab-and-go meals, beverages, catering, and more
- Drive food service sales and hit performance goals with a focus on quality and consistency. Monitor trends and work with peers to create action plans to optimize results
- Become the in-store expert on food programs, promotions, and marketing initiatives
- Own and deliver training for Customer Service Associates to build proficiency and motivate them to provide outstanding customer service
- Support hiring, scheduling, training, and team development. Recognize great performance and help Associates grow
- Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting food service area that meets all health and safety standards
- Oversee inventory, ordering, and equipment upkeep to support smooth and efficient operations
