Job Description

The Baltimore Country Club, founded in 1898, is a prestigious private club located in Baltimore. Currently, the Baltimore Country Club is seeking a Food & Beverage Manager/Restaurant Manager to oversee the operations of its fine and casual dining services, as well as banquet events held on the premises. The role requires a strong leader who can assure that all dining facilities are properly set up and that service is delivered in a manner that reflects the club’s commitment to hospitality and high standards. As the Food & Beverage Manager, you will play a critical role in enhancing the overall dining experience by ensuring seamless interaction between members, guests, staff, and other departments such as the kitchen. Your responsibilities will extend to supervising, training, and scheduling staff to perform at an exceptional level while managing operational expenses and maintaining inventory control.

This position demands a proactive manager with excellent interpersonal communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with members and guests to meet their needs and quickly resolve any concerns related to food, beverages, or service. Knowledge of food and beverage management software along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management will be given preference due to the complexity and leadership nature of the role. Additionally, having a working understanding of liquor, beer, and wine service is highly desirable to ensure comprehensive oversight of the club’s beverage offerings.

The Food & Beverage Manager will be an integral part of the club’s leadership team, working closely with other departments to sustain and further the club’s reputation for excellence.
