Job Description
Wawa, Inc. is a renowned convenience store and gas station chain based in the United States known for its commitment to customer service, quality products, and community engagement. Founded in 1964, Wawa has grown to become a household name, operating a network of stores that offer a wide range of fresh food, beverages, and convenience items. The company prides itself on fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment, where Associates are considered the key to its ongoing success. Wawa’s dedication to improving customer experiences and its community-focused initiatives have positioned it as an industry leader in convenience retail, striving to make life a little better every day through friendly service and high-quality offerings.
As a Food & Beverage Manager (FBM) at Wawa, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all food and beverage operations within the store to ensure efficiency, consistency, and superior quality. This position works closely with the General Manager and Assistant General Manager to manage daily operations, with a sharp focus on delivering a fresh, efficient, and customer-centric experience. The role is integral to driving food service sales, maintaining product standards, and ensuring a welcoming environment that meets health and safety guidelines. By managing inventory, overseeing equipment upkeep, and driving team development through effective training and motivation, the Food & Beverage Manager ensures that the store’s food programs—from grab-and-go meals to catering—operate seamlessly. This position is not just about managing day-to-day tasks but also about inspiring the team to provide exceptional service, recognizing outstanding performance, and fostering growth and career opportunities among Associates.
The role offers an hourly wage range between $22.70 and $28.40, commensurate with experience, position level, and location. Additionally, Associates in this position are eligible for monthly bonus incentives, further rewarding high performance. Wawa provides a comprehensive benefits package that supports employees financially, physically, and emotionally, including medical, dental, vision, and mental health coverage, an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k) plus matching, education assistance programs, store discounts, paid time off, and paid parental leave. Wawa is committed to equal opportunity employment and fostering a diverse workplace where discrimination of any kind is not tolerated. Accommodations are available to applicants and Associates as required by law, ensuring an inclusive application process and work environment. Joining Wawa as a Food & Beverage Manager means becoming part of a team dedicated to helping the company and its people fly high together, driving results, and making a positive impact on customers and communities.
