This establishment is a modern pioneer’s retreat where innovation and relaxation blend seamlessly, offering an inviting space for business leaders, scholars, creatives, and global visionaries to connect, collaborate, and recharge. Reflecting the pioneering spirit of the American West, The Benson provides a sophisticated yet approachable atmosphere that caters to the diverse needs of its guests. The hotel embraces a vision that combines luxury hospitality with community engagement, positioning itself as a sanctuary for discovery, thoughtful conversation, and restful retreats amid one of the most innovative hubs in the region.
As a part of this vibrant community, The Benson Hotel & Faculty Club is seeking a dedicated Restaurant and Food & Beverage Manager to oversee the operations of its restaurant, room service, and potentially its lounge or quiet bar. This full-time role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of service, quality, and hospitality that align with the hotel's mission and brand. The position requires a dynamic individual who can manage day-to-day operations by ensuring not only compliance with corporate policies and local, state, and federal regulations but also the achievement of financial targets including maximizing revenue and controlling expenses.
The successful candidate will play an integral role in staff management and development, including hiring, training, scheduling, and motivating associates across various food and beverage outlets. They will actively foster a positive work environment, provide coaching and counseling, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary actions when necessary. Innovation in promotional strategies and creative presentation of offerings will be necessary to attract and retain guests and increase market share. The manager will also be responsible for overseeing sanitation, maintenance, safety compliance, budget forecasting, and cost controls related to labor, food, beverage, equipment, and supplies.
This role demands an individual with comprehensive knowledge of restaurant and hotel practices, strong analytical skills to make informed decisions, and excellent communication capabilities to engage effectively with guests and team members. Physical demands include the ability to handle lifting and moving equipment and furniture, as well as mobility to oversee operations across facility spaces. The work environment primarily involves indoor settings with occasional exposure to outdoor dining conditions.
This position offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $65,000 per year and is based at The Benson Hotel & Faculty Club in Aurora, Colorado. Employees benefit from exceptional perks and a supportive culture within Sage Hospitality, which values creative energy, passion for detail, and a sense of belonging. Candidates must have open availability for nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the operational demands of the position. The Benson Hotel is an equal opportunity employer that protects veterans and individuals with disabilities, inviting a diverse group of applicants to join their team and contribute to an extraordinary hospitality experience.
