Job Description
The Elizabeth Hotel and Emporium, located in the vibrant heart of Old Town Fort Collins, is a unique destination where music, art, and the spirit of Colorado come together to create an unforgettable hospitality experience. This boutique hotel is not just a place to stay but a cultural hub featuring live performances at the Magic Rat, rooftop cocktails at the Sunset Lounge, and delicious, locally inspired cuisine at The Emporium. The property is a proud part of the Sage Hospitality Group, combining the advantages of a large industry leader with the warmth, creativity, and personality of an independent, community-rooted hotel. The Elizabeth is known for its inclusive culture, commitment to individuality, and fostering an environment where every team member is valued and encouraged to grow both personally and professionally.
The Food & Beverage Manager role at The Elizabeth Hotel and Emporium is a dynamic and critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all front-of-house food and beverage operations. This includes management responsibilities across several outlets such as The Emporium restaurant, Bowerbird Coffee, Magic Rat music venue, Sunset Lounge rooftop bar, and banquet and event services as needed. The manager acts as the manager on duty, collaborating closely with front of house and back-of-house teams, including culinary staff and other hotel departments such as housekeeping, engineering, and front desk, to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Candidates for this position should have a minimum of two years of leadership experience in food and beverage management, preferably with experience managing multiple outlets or banquet operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of scheduling, inventory management, ordering, receiving, and floor operations. Additional experience managing a diverse wine selection and seasonal beverage programs is highly desirable. This role demands strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to handle conflict fairly and professionally, and the capacity to develop and implement marketing strategies to increase revenue and enhance guest satisfaction.
Working as a Food & Beverage Manager at The Elizabeth means joining a passionate team dedicated to crafting extraordinary guest experiences in a lively, creative environment. The role requires availability for nights, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the round-the-clock nature of hospitality. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from $58,500 to $65,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The Elizabeth provides real growth opportunities through mentorship, cross-functional learning, and internal advancement within both the hotel and the larger Sage Hospitality Group.
Team members enjoy flexible scheduling designed to support a healthy work-life balance and access to wellness resources, tuition reimbursement, and meaningful benefits. The inclusive culture values integrity, curiosity, and care, ensuring a supportive workplace where individual contributions are recognized and celebrated. Employees also benefit from hotel and travel discounts, team meals, employee recognition programs, and the opportunity to participate in community outreach initiatives, underscoring the hotel's commitment to positive community impact.
In summary, this is more than just a job; it's a chance to be part of a vibrant community where hospitality, culture, and innovation harmonize. The Food & Beverage Manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of service and hospitality that make The Elizabeth Hotel and Emporium a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike. If you are passionate about hospitality leadership and want to advance your career in an inspiring and supportive environment, The Elizabeth Hotel welcomes your application.
