Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or related field preferred
  • minimum 3 years of experience in food and beverage management
  • strong leadership and team management abilities
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • thorough knowledge of food safety and alcohol regulations
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and event days
  • proficiency with inventory management and budgeting software
  • TIPS certification or willingness to obtain prior to employment

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food service and food and beverage management
  • strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality experiences
  • experience in training and supervising staff
  • ability to create and manage budgets effectively
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • in-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • relevant certifications (e.g., ServSafe) preferred
  • TIPS certification required
  • willingness to become a TIPS certified instructor is mandatory

Job Duties

  • Oversee the food and beverage operations at festivals and events, ensuring a high standard of service, quality, and speed
  • manage inventory, including ordering supplies and maintaining accurate records
  • hire, train, and schedule staff to ensure optimal performance and coverage
  • develop and maintain relationships with sponsors and distributors to enhance service offerings and secure favorable terms
  • create and manage budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and cost control
  • analyze historical sales data to inform decisions on inventory, staffing, and pricing strategies
  • set competitive and profitable drink prices based on data analysis and market trends
  • ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • conduct regular staff training sessions, including TIPS certification classes for bartenders
  • work with non-profit organizations to secure and manage liquor permits through the state
  • monitor customer satisfaction and address any issues promptly and effectively
  • collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless event execution
  • provide detailed reports on operations, including financial performance and inventory levels
