The LifeCafe Leader role at Life Time is a pivotal, hands-on leadership position responsible for managing the overall performance and growth of a LifeCafe location. This individual will oversee daily operations, driving the team to execute high-quality food preparation and service consistently while maintaining financial profitability. The LifeCafe Leader works directly alongside team members, fostering a fun, fast-paced, and high-touch environment that aligns with Life Time's brand standards and values. The position demands leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for developing team members in a dynamic hospitality setting. This is a salaried role with a starting salary of $64,000 and potential earnings of up to $88,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Bonuses are offered based on performance metrics, rewarding successful business results and team achievement.

In this role, the LifeCafe Leader is responsible for managing both front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring inventory control, scheduling accuracy, payroll adherence, and operational policy compliance. Financial management is critical, including profit and loss oversight, budgeting, and cost controls covering food, beverage, and labor expenses. Team development is a key focus, requiring the hiring, training, and motivation of team members to build a high-performing, growth-minded culture. The LifeCafe Leader must also ensure strict compliance with safety, cleanliness, and security protocols through regular inspection and coaching. This leadership position requires a blend of hands-on management and strategic planning to deliver excellent customer experiences while driving business success.

The ideal candidate possesses at least three years of leadership experience in fast-paced food or hospitality settings, excellent knowledge of cost control and labor management, and a systems-oriented approach with a mindset for continuous process improvement. Certifications such as ServSafe and CPR/AED are required, with alcohol safety certification needed when applicable. Preferred qualifications include a college degree in culinary, business, or a related field, culinary experience, and prior business ownership. Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced food or hospitality setting
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent
  • Alcohol safety certification if applicable
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • College degree in culinary, business, or related field preferred
  • Preferred chef/culinary experience
  • Prior or current business owner experience

Job Duties

  • Oversees front-of-house and back-of-house operations including inventory, scheduling, payroll, and adherence to operational policies
  • Works in The Zone alongside the team ensuring quality execution of menu items, accurate ticket times, and exceptional service
  • Manages business financials including P&L, budgeting, and cost controls for food, beverage, and labor
  • Hires, trains, develops, and motivates team members to build a high-performing, growth-minded team culture
  • Ensures compliance with all safety, cleanliness, and security protocols through regular inspection and coaching
