Job Requirements

  • Completion of 2-3 years of education beyond high school or equivalent skills
  • 2-3 years experience in a culinary position
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and resolve issues quickly
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to quality and customer service

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent training preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience in a related culinary position
  • Knowledge of food service industry principles and operational standards
  • Proficient in supervising staff and resolving kitchen issues
  • Excellent verbal, reading, and written communication skills
  • Culinary degree is beneficial but not required

Job Duties

  • Organize staff and culinary operations
  • Oversee and coordinate culinary operations, managing and training kitchen personnel
  • Supervise daily kitchen activities to ensure smooth operations and maintain quality standards
  • Develop menus and recipes, including determining food requisitions and improving dish concepts
  • Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, plan and price menus
  • Maintain kitchen equipment for effective operation
  • Ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment by following safety and sanitation standards
  • Manage catering events and offer culinary instruction to staff
  • Train and mentor less experienced culinary employees
