Job Requirements
- Completion of 2-3 years of education beyond high school or equivalent skills
- 2-3 years experience in a culinary position
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and resolve issues quickly
- Excellent communication skills
- Commitment to quality and customer service
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent training preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in a related culinary position
- Knowledge of food service industry principles and operational standards
- Proficient in supervising staff and resolving kitchen issues
- Excellent verbal, reading, and written communication skills
- Culinary degree is beneficial but not required
Job Duties
- Organize staff and culinary operations
- Oversee and coordinate culinary operations, managing and training kitchen personnel
- Supervise daily kitchen activities to ensure smooth operations and maintain quality standards
- Develop menus and recipes, including determining food requisitions and improving dish concepts
- Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, plan and price menus
- Maintain kitchen equipment for effective operation
- Ensure a safe and hygienic kitchen environment by following safety and sanitation standards
- Manage catering events and offer culinary instruction to staff
- Train and mentor less experienced culinary employees
