The Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager role at Sonesta International Hotels is a vital leadership position overseeing all service aspects within food and beverage outlets such as the restaurant, lobby bar, pool bar, and banquet facilities. This full-time position offers an attractive compensation package with a salary ranging from $60,000 to $65,000 annually, depending on experience, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive of up to 10% of the base salary.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in hospitality or related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in food and beverage management
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local health, safety and compliance regulations
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to manage multiple outlets and lead diverse teams
  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • Experience with labor and budget management

Job Duties

  • Supervise day-to-day activities of food and beverage outlets including restaurant, lobby bar, pool bar and banquets
  • Plan and organize work
  • Communicate and enforce policies and procedures
  • Manage departmental schedules and labor costs
  • Collaborate with F&B Director on daily operations and pricing updates in POS
  • Ensure operational condition and regular cleaning of restaurant equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and stock of restaurant facilities
  • Promote teamwork and coordination with other departments like Sales, Marketing, Catering, Banquets, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Guest Services
  • Analyze guest feedback and financial results to monitor restaurant performance
  • Ensure proper security and storage of inventory and equipment
  • Control expenses and maximize profitability
  • Recruit, retain, and motivate staff
  • Conduct monthly departmental meetings and corporate trainings
  • Provide training and career development for team members
  • Monitor and recognize employee performance
  • Address employee issues professionally
  • Initiate corrective actions as needed
  • Support and promote company initiatives, policies and guidelines
