The LifeCafe Leader is a pivotal role focused on the overall performance and sustained growth of a LifeCafe location. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for running daily operations efficiently, ensuring that both front-of-house and back-of-house functions operate seamlessly. The LifeCafe Leader directly influences the dining experience by guaranteeing premium food quality and exceptional service delivery, reflecting the high standards Life Time upholds. Additionally, this role involves motivating and developing team members to build a high-performing, growth-oriented culture that thrives on collaboration and continuous improvement.

Primarily, the LifeCafe Leader is engaged in managing business financials, including profit and loss responsibility, budgeting, and cost controls covering food, beverage, and labor expenses. By being actively involved “in The Zone,” this leader supports the team in maintaining fast-paced and accurate service execution while creating a fun, high-touch environment. This role demands a dynamic individual capable of handling pressure gracefully and sustaining composure through various operational challenges, thereby ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for both employees and guests.

This salaried full-time position offers a starting compensation of $64,000, with potential earnings up to $88,000 based on experience and qualifications. Additional performance bonuses further incentivize achieving key operational metrics and business goals. The LifeCafe Leader not only plays a critical operational role but also embodies the company’s values, ensuring that the LifeCafe remains a vibrant, customer-focused destination within the broader Life Time wellness experience. The leader’s commitment to safety, quality, financial discipline, and team empowerment is essential to driving the continued success and expansion of LifeCafe locations.

Job Requirements

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Excellent knowledge of cost control, labor, reporting KPI’s
  • Systems oriented and process minded with a strong ability to develop and implement new systems for continuous improvement
  • Ability to handle pressure well and maintain composure in any situation

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Three plus years of leadership experience in a fast-paced food or hospitality setting
  • ServSafe certification or equivalent
  • Alcohol safety certification if applicable
  • CPR/AED certification required within the first 30 days of hire
  • College degree in culinary, business, or related field preferred
  • Preferred chef or culinary experience
  • Prior or current business owner experience

Job Duties

  • Oversees front-of-house and back-of-house operations, including inventory, scheduling, payroll, and adherence to operational policies
  • Works in "The Zone" alongside the team, ensuring quality execution of menu items, accurate ticket times, and exceptional service
  • Manages business financials, including P&L, budgeting, and cost controls for food, beverage, and labor
  • Hires, trains, develops, and motivates team members to build a high-performing, growth-minded team culture
  • Ensures compliance with all safety, cleanliness, and security protocols through regular inspection and coaching
