Job Requirements

  • High school education preferred
  • Minimum one year experience in a high-volume restaurant operation
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations
  • Ability to use a POS system
  • Ability to handle customer complaints positively
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to pass RBS training certification within 60 days of employment
  • Ability to adhere to uniform and grooming standards
  • Ability to attend pre-shift meetings and complete pre-opening checklist
  • Ability to work in a loud, busy casino environment
  • Ability to obtain CPR certification
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to perform light cleaning duties

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of restaurant operations including staffing levels, service equipment and customer relations
  • Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items
  • Proficiency in using a moderately complex computer system
  • Skill in handling customer complaints in a friendly and positive manner
  • Ability to navigate crowded rooms while standing and walking continuously
  • Completion of any combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • High school education preferred
  • Minimum of one year experience in a high-volume restaurant
  • Two to three years experience in cold and hot kitchen/pantry work preferred
  • Culinary or Apprenticeship program preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and safety notices
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Basic mathematical skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing
  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions
  • Capability to obtain government required licenses or certificates including CPR and RBS certification within 60 days

Job Duties

  • Provide friendly, fast, and helpful customer service through consistent practice and delivery of kindness, dignity and respect
  • Acknowledge guests immediately with a smile
  • Properly offer a warm friendly verbal greeting and seat guests by name when known
  • Assist guests with chairs and napkins during seating
  • Introduce servers to guests and educate them on specials
  • Answer telephones using proper etiquette
  • Take to-go orders and coordinate execution including POS input, packaging and payment collection
  • Create and execute celebration elements for guests
  • Properly rotate server stations when seating guests
  • Maintain clean and organized host/hostess area
  • Ensure all areas are clean and free of debris
  • Act as a role model to other employees and encourage positive behavior
  • Adhere to attendance guidelines and company policies
  • Stay knowledgeable of property events and promotions
  • Conform to uniform and grooming standards
  • Begin shift by completing pre-opening checklist
  • Inspect menus for cleanliness and completeness
  • Communicate real time walk-in volume and VIP customers to floor management
  • Attend pre-shift meetings and training sessions
  • Describe menu preparation and ingredients
  • Assist with furniture alignment and floor cleanliness
  • Use carpet sweeper as needed
  • Keep podium tidy and prepare daily side work list assigning server tasks
  • Perform other tasks assigned by management
