Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of restaurant management experience preferred
  • minimum 5-7 years of experience as a manager in a restaurant or resort hotel
  • minimum 5-7 years of food and beverage experience
  • any combination of education and experience equivalent to college graduation with relevant training or experience
  • ability to work around hot equipment
  • occasionally exposed to cold temperatures
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • able to walk or stand for duration of shift
  • willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • reliable and motivated for success

Job Duties

  • Oversee and manage all restaurant operations
  • achieve budgeted food and beverage revenue and maximize profitability
  • manage department labor and food costs
  • develop and maintain cost control procedures
  • provide detailed monthly forecasts of revenues, food cost, and labor
  • conduct monthly inventories of all food and beverage items
  • participate in and provide input towards food and beverage marketing activities
  • solicit local business with promotional offerings
  • anticipate guest needs and respond promptly
  • strive to provide every guest with an exceptional experience
  • maintain a high ratio of return customers through best in class customer service
  • monitor restaurant activities and troubleshoot problems
  • assist kitchen leadership and staff during peak periods
  • monitor and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
  • demonstrate an engaging and supportive leadership style
  • foster a safe work environment
  • directly lead and oversee team members and adjust priorities
  • prepare weekly work schedules and adjust as needed
  • interview and hire restaurant staff
  • train new team members and assign training responsibilities
  • coach and develop restaurant team members
  • evaluate and review staff performance
  • learn and utilize all reporting systems and maintain knowledge of metrics
  • maintain register and safe balance
  • uphold financial systems and policies
  • perform and maintain accurate inventory
  • oversee equipment maintenance and service calls
  • maintain complete knowledge of menu items, preparation, dining room layout, table setups, operating hours, pricing, dress code, POS procedures, and product ordering
  • communicate effectively

  • complete other duties supporting the business
