Job Description
Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, known for owning and operating over 40 unique and exciting amusement parks, offers an exceptional opportunity at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom located in the Lehigh Valley. Dorney Park is a premier entertainment destination spanning more than 200 acres and has been delivering joy and unforgettable experiences to visitors for over 140 years. This well-established park combines thrilling rides, water attractions, and world-class dining to create an atmosphere of fun and excitement for guests of all ages. Working at Dorney Park means becoming part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating lifelong memories for its visitors while embracing a culture of fun, safety, and exceptional customer service. The company offers competitive hourly pay starting at $17.50, comprehensive paid training, and numerous employee benefits designed to support and reward its workforce.
The Food Safety Auditor role at Dorney Park offers a unique blend of responsibility and opportunity for those passionate about hospitality and food safety. As a Food Safety Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that every dining experience meets the highest standards of quality and safety. Your daily activities will include conducting thorough audits of food service areas throughout the park, identifying immediate areas for improvement, and collaborating closely with the Food and Beverage Director to prepare detailed reports that include daily and weekly recaps and constructive recommendations. This position requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to promptly address any deficiencies to maintain the park’s reputation for excellence.
In addition to audits and reporting, the role involves providing essential food safety training for all associates to ensure that safety protocols are understood and consistently followed. You will be responsible for promptly reporting any maintenance issues or unsafe conditions that could potentially affect food safety or personal safety, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Acting as a liaison between the Foods Division and the Park Safety Department, you will facilitate communication related to safety matters and assist in completing accident reports when necessary. Participation in scheduled and unscheduled Everclean audits is also a key aspect of the job, along with preparing action plans to correct any deficiencies to ensure compliance with food safety standards. This position offers a great chance to expand your knowledge, develop professionally, and contribute meaningfully to a dynamic team and a beloved community destination.
