The Food and Beverage department at Madame Tussauds Hollywood is integral to the visitor experience, ensuring that guests enjoy not just visual and interactive delights but also a high standard of dining and refreshment options. Currently, Madame Tussauds Hollywood is seeking to add fun-loving and enthusiastic individuals to their Food and Beverage Team as Food Runners/ bussers. This part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a lively, people-focused environment where your contribution directly enhances the guests' enjoyment. As a Food Runner/Busser, you will work primarily in the restaurant’s front-of-house area, assisting servers and hosts by attending to guests with friendly and efficient tableside service. Your duties will include delivering food and beverages in a timely manner, clearing tables, helping with the setup and teardown of service stations, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining atmosphere.

Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role preferred
Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Excellent communication skills
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Must be able to pass food handler and alcohol awareness exams within 30 days of employment
Must comply with all health and safety regulations
Ability to work well both independently and in a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

Experience in the restaurant, food-service, or hospitality industry preferred
Fun, dynamic, and friendly personality
Excellent communication, listening, and motivational skills
Hospitable nature with a desire to give service of the highest possible level
Able to work in areas with loud noises and confined spaces
Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team
Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged hours and interact with guests and employees in a fast-paced, multitask environment in variable temperatures and weather conditions
Must be able to pass a Food Handler and Alcohol Awareness Exam within 30-days of employment

Job Duties

Adopts an enthusiastic, assertive, and passionate approach to guest service
May be responsible for taking, placing, and serving orders in a section or multiple sections
Assists in removing used plates, glasses, and cutlery at the completion of the diners’ meal, refilling drinks and other dining items as needed, and delivering meals
Must understand and meet all guest expectations and be able to effectively communicate and provide services to guests in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner
Assists in set-up and tear-down of tables and service stations within the front and back of house as well as maintains cleanliness of dining area during service hours
Must follow all state laws and license restrictions governing the sale and service of alcoholic beverages
Responsibility to ensure compliance of health, safety & security within the workplace, including COVID-19 policies, practices, and regulations
