The Food & Beverage (F&B) Expediter position at Prairie Flower Casino plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient food service operation. This role is responsible for coordinating the flow of food from the kitchen to the guests by making sure all food orders are accurate, complete, and promptly delivered. As an essential link between the kitchen staff and the front-of-house team, the F&B Expediter maintains clear communication to enhance the overall dining experience. Duties include assembling food orders, checking for accuracy with special modifications or requests, and coordinating with servers and food runners to deliver orders efficiently. The role also requires maintaining a clean, organized, and food-safe expo station, ensuring that all health and safety standards are met.

The position demands strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Candidates with experience or knowledge in restaurant, food service, or hospitality industries are preferred. Physical demands include standing and walking for long shifts, lifting up to 30 pounds, and the ability to work effectively while maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Job Duties

  • Provides excellent support to the guest service experience by ensuring food orders are assembled accurately and delivered promptly
  • retrieves completed food orders from the kitchen window and matches each order with the correct ticket
  • ensures all menu items, modifications, and special requests are included before orders leave the expo station
  • places the appropriate ticket with each order and coordinates delivery with food runners or servers
  • maintains cleanliness and organization of the expo station, countertops, and surrounding work areas
  • regularly wipes and sanitizes countertops and food-contact surfaces
  • keeps floors clean, dry, and free of debris and hazards
  • ensures dishware, utensils, trays, and equipment are properly stored and not allowed to accumulate in the work area
  • maintains a neat, clean, organized, and food-safe environment at all times
  • communicates effectively with kitchen staff, servers, food runners, and supervisors
  • monitors ticket times and helps maintain an efficient flow of food service
  • performs all duties in a positive and professional manner
  • maintains consistent attendance and may work nights, weekends, and holidays
