The Food and Beverage Director position at River Hall Country Club represents a unique and exciting opportunity for a seasoned hospitality professional to lead the club's dining and hospitality operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the director will be responsible for overseeing all food and beverage outlets, including the kitchen, dining room, bar areas such as the Bunker Bar, banquet areas, patios, lounges, and beverage carts. This role demands a strong leader passionate about delivering excellent service, fostering team development, and creating memorable experiences for club members and guests.

The Food and Beverage Director will manage a friendly, service-oriented, professional, and efficient food and beverage operation, ensuring that every aspect of service is executed to the highest standards. This includes maintaining strict adherence to state health department codes, liquor control board requirements, and internal policies such as the Food and Beverage Manual. The director will also collaborate closely with the executive chef to standardize recipes and ensure quality and portion control, as well as coordinate closely with other department managers to maintain seamless operations.

With a focus on excellence, the director will lead initiatives to develop and train staff in line with club guidelines, maintain cleanliness and organization, manage scheduling and payroll summaries, coordinate food and beverage activities for special events, and oversee financial management related to the department. This includes budget preparation, inventory control, ordering and approving invoices through digital systems, and monitoring sales and cost controls.

This full-time exempt role offers a competitive salary in the range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, with bonus potential based on experience. Job Requirements

  • Education at culinary or hospitality degree level or equivalent experience
  • Experience in multi-unit food and beverage operations preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Leadership and management skills
  • Ability to perform basic math and organizational tasks
  • Physical ability to perform moderate work and lift up to 60 lbs
  • Compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Obtaining and maintaining Food Handlers Certificate

Job Duties

  • Participate in the responsibility to hire, train, direct and supervise F&B employees as per HR guidelines and service standards as per the Club, F&B Manual and or HG Team Member Handbook
  • Administer personnel and general policies, ensure development and corrective action in accordance with fair labor standards, safety, established policy
  • Maintain Hampton Golfs service goal, 5 HG Guiding Principles and service standards as reflected in the F&B Manual and or HG Team Member Handbook
  • Establish and maintain a F&B Manual while conforming to State Health Department Codes
  • Create a positive, attentive, friendly, professional service environment in all food and beverage areas
  • Establish and maintain beverage procurement guidelines, Liquor Control Board requirements and observe responsible alcohol beverage service to protect from liability
  • Coordinate with Executive Chef to establish written standardized food recipes and beverages to ensure the production of consistent quality and portion control
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all F&B areas including front and back of house
  • Prepare and submit weekly employee schedules and bi-weekly payroll summaries to the General Manager
  • Promote, organize and service F&B activities as per event check list, BEO and or F&B Manual
  • Assist in the preparation and adherence of the F&B Operational Budget
  • Manage and monitor accurate daily financial collection of charges and funds, along with applicable reports
  • Manage and monitor ordering of products, stock levels and monthly inventory
  • Diplomatic enforcement of all rules and regulations
  • Attend conferences, workshops and meetings to stay current with industry developments
  • Meet, greet and welcome members and guests in a professional manner
  • Advise or provide recommendations to the General Manager for capital improvements, supplies and equipment
  • Acquire and maintain Food Handlers Certificate
  • Perform other duties as assigned
