The Food & Beverage Director role at Satellite Music Hall is a highly strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing all food and beverage operations within the venue. This position demands an individual who is both a hands-on leader and a seasoned hospitality professional capable of delivering exceptional guest experiences while ensuring operational excellence and strong financial performance. The Food & Beverage Director will lead front-of-house and bar operations, manage the staffing and training of employees, maintain inventory and cost control measures, and continuously promote a culture of hospitality, accountability, and teamwork.

This full-time position also includes valuable benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off encompassing vacation days, sick days, and eleven holidays.

In this role, the Food & Beverage Director will be expected to provide visible and engaged leadership during events and peak periods, fostering an environment where team members are empowered to deliver impeccable service that aligns with the Satellite Music Hall's brand and guest expectations. This position requires close collaboration with venue leadership to ensure that food and beverage operations not only meet but elevate the overall guest experience across concerts, private events, festivals, sporting events, and other special programming hosted at the venue.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing high-volume, multi-outlet operations within bars, restaurants, entertainment venues, stadiums, or event-based environments. They will possess a comprehensive understanding of financial management, including budgeting, cost controls, labor management, and detailed financial performance analysis. Additionally, strong skills in recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing staff will be essential to building a high-performing food and beverage team capable of adapting in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Ensuring compliance with all regulatory health, safety, food handling, and alcohol service standards will be paramount, alongside maintaining up-to-date permits, licenses, and certifications while promoting responsible alcohol service practices. The Food & Beverage Director will also oversee vendor relationships, purchasing agreements, inventory management, and quality control to optimize product usage and minimize waste.

This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work varied event schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours. The candidate must be capable of standing, walking, lifting occasionally heavy objects, and navigating the venue’s diverse environments during operational periods.
