This position is integral to enhancing the quality of life for residents by overseeing all dining operations with a focus on quality, safety, and personalization. Lexington Country Place operates in the assisted living industry, emphasizing holistic wellness and a community-centered approach to senior living.
The Food and Beverage Director at Lexington Country Place reports directly to the Executive Director and plays a pivotal role in managing culinary services. This leadership position involves overseeing procurement, food preparation, dining service, budget management, labor cost controls, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance. The director ensures that all food services align with the Phoenix designated menu program, which emphasizes wellness and nutritional balance tailored to residents' individual dietary needs. A key responsibility is maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety to protect residents from foodborne illnesses.
In this role, the Food and Beverage Director will engage closely with residents, staff, and families, ensuring that dietary services address personal preferences and therapeutic diet requirements. They will conduct cooking demonstrations that emphasize a wellness philosophy, aiming to enrich resident care through culinary experiences. Collaboration with other community leaders, such as the Community Engagement Director, is essential for promoting the dining services and creating menus for professional and community events.
