The Food & Beverage Director at The Reserve Club at Woodside holds a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire scope of food and beverage services across the club. This role demands a hands-on leader with a strong operational focus who ensures that the club's dining outlets, banquet services, bar operations, and special event catering not only meet but exceed member expectations. The director manages staff development, financial performance, and service standards while collaborating closely with club leadership to enhance overall member satisfaction. The position requires flexibility, including evening, weekend, holiday, and special event shifts, to ensure seamless service delivery. The Food & Beverage Director is instrumental in shaping creative dining experiences, managing budgets, and maintaining compliance with all relevant health, safety, and alcohol laws. This role also involves fostering a positive and professional team-oriented work environment, developing department managers and staff through training and evaluations, and maintaining vendor relationships for optimal procurement. Job Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with members, guests, and employees in person and by phone
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and club events
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of South Carolina alcohol laws and food safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive food and beverage leadership experience required
  • Private club or country club experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, banquet service, and beverage management
  • Proven experience managing budgets, labor, and inventory controls
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills
  • Strong leadership and team development abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Direct and oversee all food and beverage operations including dining outlets, lounges, banquet events, beverage programs, and special club functions
  • Ensure exceptional member and guest service standards are consistently maintained
  • Develop and maintain operating procedures and service standards for all food and beverage areas
  • Lead, coach, and develop department managers, supervisors, and hourly team members
  • Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment
  • Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations
  • Collaborate with Club leadership to enhance the overall member experience
