Job Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor degree
- Completion of recognized food safety course
- Minimum of five years experience as executive chef or chef in hotel, restaurant, or similar
- Minimum of three years experience in administration and management of food service systems
- Ability to maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Commitment to hospitality and senior care culture
Job Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor degree in culinary arts preferred
- Successful completion of a recognized food safety course
- Minimum of five years experience as executive chef or chef in a similar environment
- Minimum of three years experience in administration and management of food service systems
- Senior living community experience preferred
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive culinary services program to create a positive experience for all customers
- Supervise the Culinary Services Department including hiring, assigning, and appraising employees
- Plan, develop, and serve menus compliant with nutritional and dietary regulations
- Meet or exceed established budgetary and financial guidelines
- Perform hands-on cooking, serving, and dishwashing as needed
- Ensure the staff is professional, trained, properly uniformed, and talented
- Visit residents periodically to evaluate and improve food service quality and procedures
