Job Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree
- Completion of recognized food safety course
- Five years’ experience as executive chef or in similar roles
- Three years’ experience in food service administration and management
- Preferably experience in senior living community
- Ability to supervise staff
- Strong communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferably in culinary arts
- Successful completion of a recognized food safety course
- Minimum of five years’ experience as executive chef or similar in hotels, restaurants, or clubs
- Minimum of three years’ experience in administration and management of food service systems
- Experience in senior living community preferred
Job Duties
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive culinary services program
- Supervise the Culinary Services Department including hiring and performance management
- Research, plan, and serve menu cycle programs compliant with dietary regulations
- Meet or exceed budgetary and financial guidelines
- Perform hands-on cooking, serving, and dishwashing as necessary
- Ensure professional, trained, and properly uniformed staff
- Evaluate food service quality and make operational improvements
- Support a culture driving revenue and occupancy through business decisions and employee engagement
