Job Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree
  • Completion of recognized food safety course
  • Five years’ experience as executive chef or in similar roles
  • Three years’ experience in food service administration and management
  • Preferably experience in senior living community
  • Ability to supervise staff
  • Strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferably in culinary arts
  • Successful completion of a recognized food safety course
  • Minimum of five years’ experience as executive chef or similar in hotels, restaurants, or clubs
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in administration and management of food service systems
  • Experience in senior living community preferred

Job Duties

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive culinary services program
  • Supervise the Culinary Services Department including hiring and performance management
  • Research, plan, and serve menu cycle programs compliant with dietary regulations
  • Meet or exceed budgetary and financial guidelines
  • Perform hands-on cooking, serving, and dishwashing as necessary
  • Ensure professional, trained, and properly uniformed staff
  • Evaluate food service quality and make operational improvements
  • Support a culture driving revenue and occupancy through business decisions and employee engagement
