The Food and Beverage Manager at the Grande Lakes Mall location in Mentor, Ohio is vital to the operational success of the venue. This role involves overseeing all food and beverage operations, maintaining budgetary discipline, and ensuring the highest quality in food preparation and customer service. The manager is responsible for supervising daily activities, including scheduling deliveries, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and alcohol-serving regulations. A key aspect of this position includes resolving customer complaints efficiently while preserving excellent customer service standards. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years or older
  • Ability to work in a noisy, busy entertainment environment
  • Physical capability to bend, stretch, twist, climb and stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds with assistance
  • Associate's degree preferred but not required
  • 2-3 years retail management experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food and beverage industry standards
  • Excellent leadership and customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years or older to handle and serve alcohol
  • Associates degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of retail management experience preferred, especially in entertainment, retail or hospitality industries
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations
  • Ability to resolve customer complaints efficiently
  • Experience in coaching and staff training
  • Understanding of budget management and expense tracking
  • Ability to maintain compliance with health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Manage all food and beverage and day-to-day operations within budgeted guidelines and to the highest standards
  • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure quality
  • Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, verifying product quality and quantity
  • Monitor department budgets, payroll records and review financial transactions to ensure authorized and budgeted expenditures
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and conduct alcohol and age restriction control
  • Provide superior customer service and maintain a visible presence on the floor at least 90% of the shift
  • Conduct and monitor department inventory and submit weekly and monthly reports
  • Train, coach, and issue disciplinary actions for department staff
  • Hold weekly staff meetings with department supervisors to address operational, staffing, and customer service issues
  • Additional duties as directed by Store General Manager
