The Food and Beverage Coordinator position at Legends Global, located at the Buddy Holly Hall in Lubbock, TX, plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of food and beverage operations during live events. This part-time, non-exempt hourly role reports directly to the Director of Food and Beverage and is chiefly responsible for supervising the concessions and banquet staff. The Coordinator ensures smooth, timely service and operational efficiency while maintaining strict adherence to company quality and service standards.
In this role, the Food and Beverage Coordinator acts as an essential liaison between various departments including event leads, kitchen, and warehouse teams to guarantee flawless event execution. This position demands strong leadership to manage and motivate the team, effective communication skills to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and proactive problem-solving abilities to address issues swiftly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
The responsibilities include overseeing the setup and stocking of concessions outlets, bars, and banquet areas before guests arrive, coordinating food production and delivery timing with kitchen and warehouse units, and monitoring food presentation to maintain high standards. Additionally, the Coordinator is tasked with inspecting event spaces for cleanliness and readiness, executing last-minute service changes, promoting upselling for profitability, managing inventory requisitions, completing consumption reporting, and ensuring compliance with alcohol service policies.
This event-based position requires flexible availability, including working evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of scheduled events. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of experience as a banquet server or captain
- Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience in food and beverage or equivalent training experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a current Food Handler's Certificate
- Must be TIPS trained
- Must be TABC certified
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Physical ability to perform job duties including lifting up to 20 lbs
- Professional appearance and attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage or equivalent training experience
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Working knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation procedures
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines

- Professional attitude and appearance
- Previous customer service and cash handling experience is a plus

Job Duties
- Ensure all concessions outlets, bars, and banquet areas are properly set and stocked prior to guest arrival
- Coordinate with kitchen and warehouse teams on timing, production, and delivery of food and beverage items
- Monitor food presentation, garnishing, and service standards to maintain quality and consistency
- Inspect event spaces for cleanliness, organization, and readiness before guest arrival
- Execute last-minute changes and ensure service setups meet event timelines
- Deliver professional, courteous service and anticipate guest needs
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction
- Uphold alcohol service policies and determine when service should be discontinued
- Promote upselling opportunities to maximize profitability
- Oversee requisitions and ensure timely delivery of food and beverage items
- Maintain accurate consumption sheets and assist with end-of-month inventory
- Report low inventory, safety concerns, and maintenance issues promptly
- Complete event reports detailing operations and guest feedback
- Ensure all closing duties and paperwork are completed according to standards
- Review assignments and communicate follow-up actions with managers and other supervisors
- Train employees on departmental standards, procedures, and guest service expectations
- Plan, assign, and direct work for concessions and banquet staff
- Document and appraise performance, provide feedback, and participate in employee counseling
- Address complaints and resolve problems promptly
- Foster a cooperative working climate to maximize productivity and morale
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the success of the food and beverage department
