FIFA26 is the organizing body bringing together the monumental FIFA World Cup 26™, which marks a historic evolution in international sports competitions. This tournament will be the first to feature 48 teams and is unique as it is co-hosted by three countries: Canada, Mexico, and the United States. It promises to be the grandest event in sporting history, aiming to unite diverse cultures through the love of football and create extraordinary experiences for players, fans, and stakeholders worldwide. The event is designed not only to showcase excellence in football but also to foster broad participation and engagement, thus redefining global sporting events on a new, expanded stage.

This role as the Food & Beverage Coordinator located in Kansas City plays a pivotal part in ensuring the success of the FIFA World Cup 26™. Reporting directly to the Tournament Headquarters and the Food and Beverage Managers, the coordinator will be instrumental in overseeing and ensuring flawless execution of the Food and Beverage Concessions Program at the venue. The coordinator is responsible for compliance with the operational plans, ensuring all concessions meet the stipulated service levels in terms of staffing, sales pricing, and activation hours, while upholding rigorous standards on product presentation and customer service quality.

The role requires liaison and collaboration with commercial partners to enforce their rights and adhere to standards including product exclusivity and brand visibility. On match days, the coordinator will play a critical role by managing and reporting operational status and conducting quality assessments to maintain peak service levels. This will include monitoring stock levels, customer service inspections, and queue times to optimize the patron experience. Crucially, the coordinator will ensure effective communication between all stakeholders involved in the Food and Beverage program and act as the key contact in relaying information to the FIFA central team using official reporting templates.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar level of education
  • Experience in catering operations or food and beverage coordination preferably at large events
  • Strong planning and analytical skills
  • Service-oriented attitude towards commercial partners
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resilience to stress and intensive work conditions
  • Proficiency in English
  • Good IT skills and experience with collaborative platforms
  • Availability to work onsite in Kansas City
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during match days

Job Qualifications

  • Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools

Job Duties

  • Ensure that services delivered are compliant with the Food and Beverage Concessions Operational Plan
  • Ensure that the commercial and contractual rights of the Commercial Partners involved in the Food and Beverage Concessions Program are respected and implemented
  • On match days, coordinate and report on operations and carry out regular quality controls
  • Provide daily briefings to the local concessionaire and the Commercial Partner teams on site and ensure smooth communication between relevant stakeholders of the Food and Beverage Concessions Program
  • Liaise daily with the FIFA central team using the designated report template
  • Assist the FIFA World Cup 26 Commercial Rights Delivery Team in all matters related to FIFA Partnerships’ objectives and obligations
  • Assist the team with administrative responsibilities
  • Perform any other duties as required
