The Food and Beverage Coordinator at Bishop's Lodge plays a vital role in delivering exceptional guest experiences through outstanding food and beverage services. This full-time position focuses on overseeing daily operations within the food and beverage department, ensuring that service standards are maintained at the highest level to meet and exceed guest expectations. The coordinator acts not only as a supervisor but also as an ambassador of the resort’s values, cultivating a culture of teamwork and excellence among the team. Key responsibilities include training and mentoring staff, maintaining expert knowledge of menu offerings—including wines, spirits, and culinary items—and coordinating with kitchen and leadership teams to manage daily specials, pricing, and order levels. The role requires hands-on involvement in front-of-house service to support team dynamics and guest satisfaction actively. Operational duties include managing opening and closing procedures, ensuring adherence to schedules, inspecting staff appearance, and handling guest concerns promptly and professionally. The coordinator also leads daily briefings, facilitates ongoing staff education, and maintains consistent communication with the Director of Food and Beverage. This position demands a flexible schedule with availability during weekends and holidays in alignment with department needs. Job Duties

  • Act as an ambassador for the hotel's values, fostering a culture of teamwork and service excellence
  • train and mentor staff on various aspects, including training calendars, sequence of service, and menu descriptions
  • ensure the highest level of guest service is consistently delivered in restaurant and bar areas
  • monitor house count, arrivals/departures, VIPs, handling all guest complaints to ensure satisfaction
  • ability to carry out the duties of the front of house food and beverage positions as needed to contribute to a team oriented atmosphere
  • oversee opening and closing duties, update menu prices, and assist with management of orders based on business levels
  • coordinate with the Chef on daily specials and updates
  • maintain expert-level knowledge of liquor brands, wines, champagnes, and food menu items
  • ensure staff adherence to schedules, coordinate breaks, and inspect grooming and attire
  • expedite on the floor or in the kitchen as needed
  • conduct training programs, lead daily line-ups, and maintain communication with the Director of Food and Beverage
