Job Description
Lincoln Embassy Suites located at 1040 P Street, Lincoln, NE 68508, is a distinguished part of the hospitality industry known for its commitment to exceptional guest experiences. This part-time opportunity offers a competitive compensation starting at $15.00 per hour, with actual pay determined by factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and role location. The hotel is a part of the Atrium Hospitality group, which operates with the SPIRIT values — Service, Perseverance, Inclusion, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork — fostering an environment where employees can thrive and contribute meaningfully to guest satisfaction and overall company success.
At Lincoln Embassy Suites, employees are not just workers; they are valued members of a community dedicated to delivering outstanding service. The hotel's commitment to career growth is reflected in its policy of internal promotions, with 40% of management hires coming from within. The company also prioritizes employee well-being by offering a comprehensive benefits package, including a 401(k) plan with company match, medical, dental, and vision insurance options, paid time off, vacation, and exclusive discount programs. These benefits support a balanced lifestyle where employees can grow professionally while enjoying personal wellness and financial security.
The role involves engaging directly with guests through greeting them, taking orders, and ensuring the highest level of friendly and timely service throughout their visit. Responsibilities extend to scheduling reservations, managing phone inquiries, and assisting with special requests and event coordination. Maintaining communication with the kitchen, monitoring assigned tables, addressing guest questions or concerns, and handling payment processing and sales closure at the end of shifts are key components of the job. Additionally, maintaining clean and well-stocked service stations and assisting with table resets ensures smooth operational flow and an inviting atmosphere.
Working at Lincoln Embassy Suites offers a unique blend of teamwork, professional growth, and community impact. Employees have access to wellness programs, tuition reimbursement, DailyPay, and participate in Atrium’s community service and volunteer initiatives, fostering a supportive work environment where everyone’s contributions count. Flexible scheduling that includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays allows team members to find a suitable work-life balance.
The ideal candidate may have prior experience in restaurants, customer service, or cashier roles, though no experience is required if they bring a positive attitude and a love for teamwork. Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness certifications are preferred or can be obtained within 60 days after hire. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds during shifts. Overall, the position at Lincoln Embassy Suites provides a dynamic, inclusive, and growth-focused setting for individuals looking to launch or advance their careers in hospitality with a reputable and employee-centered company.
