Job Description

Montgomery Embassy Suites, located at 300 Tallapoosa St, Montgomery, AL 36104, is part of the reputable Atrium Hospitality group, a leading hotel management company recognized for its commitment to exceptional guest experiences and a thriving workplace culture. Embassy Suites is a well-established hotel brand known for its upscale all-suite accommodations, comprehensive amenities, and excellent customer service. The Montgomery location embodies these qualities, serving travelers and guests with professionalism, comfort, and a welcoming environment. Situated in the heart of Montgomery, this hotel caters to both business and leisure travelers, offering an inviting atmosphere with easy access to city attractions and business centers.

This position is a part-time role offering a starting compensation of $12.00 per hour. The wage may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and specific location factors. The role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible schedules while contributing to a dynamic team environment focused on service excellence. The workplace culture at Montgomery Embassy Suites is deeply rooted in the Atrium SPIRIT, a philosophy embracing Service, Perseverance, Inclusion, Respect, Innovation, and Teamwork. This ethos drives the team to provide outstanding guest service and foster a supportive atmosphere where employees can thrive.

The role focuses on delivering exceptional service to guests, facilitating smooth daily operations, and collaborating with team members to ensure a memorable hospitality experience. Responsibilities include greeting guests warmly, taking and delivering accurate orders, managing reservations, and coordinating with kitchen staff to maintain service efficiency. The position requires handling guest inquiries and concerns professionally and assisting with event coordination and special requests, demonstrating attentiveness and a proactive approach to customer needs.

Selected candidates will partake in maintaining cleanliness, properly stocking service stations, and managing payment processes, including tip reporting and shift closing. The role is suited for individuals who enjoy engaging with people, have a positive attitude, and are eager to learn and grow within the hospitality sector. No prior experience is necessary, as training and certification support—such as Food Safety and Alcohol Awareness—will be provided or encouraged. This entry-level position is perfect for those looking to start or advance their careers in hospitality with a company that values internal promotions, evidenced by the fact that 40% of management hires come from within the team.

Employees benefit from comprehensive programs including a 401(k) plan with company match, various insurance options (medical, dental, vision), paid time off, vacation discounts, wellness programs, tuition reimbursement, and exclusive perks tailored to support their personal and professional lives. Additionally, the employer emphasizes community involvement through volunteer and service initiatives, allowing team members to make meaningful contributions beyond their workplace duties.

This role embraces flexibility with varying shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, making it suitable for candidates with diverse availability. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds during shifts. The company maintains a strong commitment to equal employment opportunity without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or veteran status. Overall, the Montgomery Embassy Suites offers a fulfilling and engaging part-time opportunity with career growth potential in a supportive and innovative hospitality environment.
