The Food and Beverage Assistant Manager at The Boulders Resort and Spa plays a vital role as part of the leadership team responsible for overseeing the entire Food and Beverage department operations. Tasked with maintaining and enhancing the high standards expected at a 4-star resort, the Assistant Manager ensures quality across all facets of food, beverage, and service operations. Job Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in a leadership role in Food and Beverage at a high-end resort
  • Ability to encourage, lead and manage a team by example
  • Knowledge of food, wine, sales, invoicing etc.
  • Well organized, detail-oriented with excellent follow-up, and a high level of creativity, enthusiasm and flexibility
  • Strong computer skills including Word and Excel
  • Must possess excellent communication skills both internally and externally
  • Ability to convert vision into specific and tangible actions
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Ensure the implementation and maintenance of standards of food, beverage and service quality of a 4-star resort
  • Help select, train and develop associates to ensure quality recruitment, retention, and career growth that leads to top service performers
  • Plan, direct, assign and delegate responsibility for all functions of the Lodge's Food & Beverage department areas to meet daily operational needs and guest expectations
  • Monitor all guest service standards, constantly seeking ways to improve product and service as well as increase volumes and profits
  • Implement effective cost controls for food, beverage and labor
  • Ensure communication is key and ensure daily stand-up meetings are held with associates in the various Food and beverage department areas
  • Work closely with the culinary team to ensure flawless execution to create a destination-of-choice environment for both hotel and external guests
