The hourly wage for the FOH Shift Leader position ranges from $18 to $20, supplemented by tips that typically add another $2 to $3 per hour, offering a competitive total compensation package for motivated hospitality professionals.

The FOH Shift Leader plays a pivotal role in supporting both front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and exceptional service delivery. This supervisory role involves direct oversight and mentorship of FOH staff such as hosts, bussers, cashiers, bartenders, servers, and phone attendants, as well as supporting BOH roles including dishwashers, prep cooks, and cooks when necessary. The Shift Leader acts as an extension of the General Manager by assisting in training, coaching, and problem-solving within both FOH and BOH teams. Responsibilities include maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, managing shift schedules, delegating duties, and ensuring adherence to food safety and health protocols. The role demands a keen eye for detail in food production, appearance, and quality control, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to interact with guests in a friendly and efficient manner throughout their dining experience. Job Duties

  • Support all BOH roles and perform them when needed (dishwasher, prep cook, cook)
  • assist with the training of new and existing BOH employees
  • manage all BOH employees including delegating responsibilities on shift
  • ensure all employees follow proper procedures and protocols
  • maintain clean BOH facility at all times
  • comply with sanitation, safety, personal hygiene and health standards
  • report equipment repair and assist in coordination of repairs
  • plan food production to ensure quality and temperature
  • maintain daily production records and assist with inventory control
  • support all FOH roles and perform them when needed (host, busser, cashier, bartender, server, phones)
  • assist with the training of new and existing FOH employees
  • manage FOH employees including delegating responsibilities on shift
  • ensure the FOH restaurant is clean at all times
  • assist in problem solving FOH issues
  • interact with guests in a fast and friendly manner
  • maintain knowledge of food preparation and ingredients
  • answer menu questions
  • remain knowledgeable on Foodtec POS
  • perform cleaning side work and maintain a neat dining room
  • comply with sanitation, safety, personal hygiene and health standards
  • perform opening and closing activities including cleaning, depositing, cash handling
  • complete all required service paperwork
  • maintain clean and neat appearance, wearing provided uniform
  • perform other duties as assigned
