Job Description

The FOH Server/Cashier role is a multifaceted position essential to the seamless operation of our restaurant. In this capacity, the individual may serve as a Cashier, Expeditor, and/or Greeter. This role requires consistently maintaining a customer service focus and demonstrating thorough knowledge of our menu, including recipes, allergens, and dietary restrictions. The FOH Server/Cashier processes guest orders accurately in person or via telephone using the POS system, and handles cash and credit or debit card transactions while following all cash handling protocols and fraud protection measures. Presenting food, circulating the dining area for service opportunities, pre-bussing and bussing tables, and greeting guests as they enter, wait, or exit are key responsibilities.

Additionally, this role involves upholding the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, including floors, bathrooms, windows, and counters. The FOH Server/Cashier restocks supplies such as ice and glassware and coordinates effectively with team members across both FOH and BOH to optimize service levels. Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, is required to meet operational demands.

This position is ideal for those who thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. A valid Food Handler's Card or ServSafe certificate combined with at least six months of cashier experience in hospitality or retail environments will provide a solid foundation for success in this role.
