Job Description
Our Sports Grill Restaurant located in Kendall, Miami, has been a beloved community staple for nearly 40 years, known for its vibrant atmosphere that brings together sports enthusiasts, families, and local teams. We are dedicated to delivering a high-quality dining experience featuring delicious food and a full-service bar where guests can enjoy watching their favorite games. Located in a prime area of Miami, our restaurant combines the excitement of sports with a family-friendly environment, creating a welcoming space for people of all ages. We pride ourselves on promoting community involvement by supporting local sports teams through events and partnerships that foster loyalty and connection within the neighborhood.
We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Front of House Manager to lead our front-of-house operations. This full-time role is essential to maintaining the smooth daily running of our Sports Grill, ensuring excellent customer service, operational efficiency, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in the food and beverage industry, especially within similar fast-paced or sports bar environments. They will be a proactive leader with strong organizational skills and a passion for team development. This position offers a competitive salary range between $50,000 and $60,000 annually along with a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and employee discounts.
The Front of House Manager will oversee all operational aspects of the dining room, bar, and customer service teams. Responsibilities include managing food and liquor costs, establishing and enforcing standard operating procedures to improve efficiency and profitability, and monitoring financial performance with detailed reporting. A significant part of the role involves strategic team leadership—recruiting, training, coaching, and motivating staff while ensuring optimal scheduling to balance labor costs and service quality.
Customer engagement is also a focal point of this role. The manager will cultivate a positive, family-friendly atmosphere while creating opportunities to connect with the local community through marketing initiatives and events that celebrate local sports teams and communal spirit. This includes the organization of events and promotions that drive customer retention and attract new guests. Time management skills are crucial for effectively prioritizing tasks during peak service hours and for streamlining operational workflows to enhance guest experience.
This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships both within the team and with external partners such as local sports organizations and schools. A creative mindset for marketing combined with solid business acumen and financial oversight capabilities will position the Front of House Manager for success in this dynamic, community-focused restaurant setting. We offer an exciting work environment rich in teamwork and professional growth opportunities, making it an ideal position for a dedicated leader passionate about food, community, and sports.
