The role of a busser at Hemingway's Tavern is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of the dining room and guest areas. As a busser, you will be a vital part of creating a guest experience that stands above the rest by maintaining cleanliness and efficiency throughout the restaurant and bar. This position is part of the server assistant and bussing team, where enthusiasm, hard work, and attention to detail are essential traits. Your responsibilities will include cleaning and resetting tables swiftly according to company standards, stocking and cleaning bathrooms and hand washing stations, and assisting other team members like servers and bartenders when needed. Your role also involves proactive communication with servers and hostesses to ensure efficient seating, table turnover, and overall guest satisfaction.

This position demands physical stamina, as bussers are required to stand and walk for the entirety of their shifts, which can last up to eight hours. You will also need to handle lifting and maneuvering trays of dishes weighing up to 50 pounds safely. Moreover, the busser will attend promptly to any guest requests or concerns to ensure a positive dining experience. Managers may assign additional side work or duties that support the entire team, contributing to operational success.
