Job Description
This opportunity is with a well-established not-for-profit healthcare organization based in Northern California. The organization employs over 350 dedicated professionals across San Joaquin, Solano, and Yolo counties, delivering comprehensive medical services to a diverse patient population. With more than 200,000 patient visits annually, the organization is committed to providing high-quality primary care and specialized services through an extensive network of clinics and programs. Their team comprises family physicians, internists, pediatricians, obstetricians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, registered dieticians, counselors, health educators, and support staff who work collaboratively to meet community health needs.
The organization operates eleven primary care clinics, one dental clinic, and offers an array of health education and outreach programs including WIC, early intervention and HIV programs, care link for the homeless, CPSP, sweet success, pharmacy, and X-ray services. Their mission-driven team is focused on compassionate, patient-centered care and strives to enhance the health outcomes of the communities they serve.
They are currently seeking Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) to join their team in the Davis area (19 miles from Sacramento) and Stockton locations. These positions are excellent for experienced providers passionate about delivering quality care within a not-for-profit setting. The role involves managing a patient load of 20-22 patients per day, with responsibilities including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing patient management. Candidates must be willing to work one late day per week and one Saturday per month, along with minimal on-call telephone triage duties every few months. The organization offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and AD&D insurance, long-term disability, an employee assistance program, and retirement benefits with premium contributions.
Additionally, employees have access to generous paid leave including vacation, sick, and holiday leave, professional development opportunities, and continuing professional education (CPE) allowances to maintain licensure. The organization also participates in the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) State Loan Repayment Program, providing financial support to qualified candidates. This is a rewarding position for motivated healthcare professionals seeking stability, growth, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in Northern California communities.
The Davis area provides an excellent quality of life with its proximity to the University of California, Davis, and California State University, Sacramento. Davis is known for its safe environment, desirable housing, excellent schools, and strong community values, making it an ideal location for healthcare professionals and their families. Similarly, Stockton, located in California's Central Valley, offers many recreational activities, cultural events, and access to thriving educational institutions such as the University of the Pacific and California State University Stanislaus. Stockton's growing, diverse population presents an exciting opportunity for clinicians passionate about serving multi-ethnic communities in an urban setting.
Joining this organization means becoming part of a mission-oriented team dedicated to improving community health through quality care, education, and outreach programs. The FNP/PA roles provide a balanced work schedule with opportunities for professional growth, loan repayment assistance, and comprehensive benefits, making it an excellent career choice for experienced advanced practice providers committed to community health and wellness.
