The supervisor will also be responsible for training new staff members, ensuring they understand departmental protocols and standards from the outset. This role includes managing inventory levels of department supplies to guarantee smooth operations and prevent shortages.
Maintaining sanitation and cleanliness within the department is a critical responsibility to uphold food safety and comply with health regulations. The position involves supervision of workflows to maintain a steady, efficient pace throughout the day and assisting with the setup of catering events when needed, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork. The ideal candidate will bring experience in food service supervision, preferably within a healthcare or full-service restaurant environment, and exhibit knowledge of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards to ensure food safety and quality.
