The Flow Calibration Supervisor at McCrometer plays a critical role within the Sustaining Engineering department located in Hemet, CA. Reporting to the Director of Sustaining Engineering & Flow Lab, this position is responsible for managing associates engaged in flow lab calibration activities concerning Propeller, Electromagnetic, and Differential Pressure metering technologies. The role requires leadership to prioritize and assign work, monitor task completion, and ensure that all calibration processes comply with regulatory and quality standards. This position also oversees the accurate calibration and timely delivery of flow meters, essential for meeting customer demands and maintaining the company’s reputation for quality and reliability.

A typical day for the Flow Calibration Supervisor involves supervising daily flow laboratory operations including testing, calibration, and verification of flow meters. The supervisor drives continuous improvement initiatives by creating and enforcing new processes for improved quality and efficiency. Managing compliance with established procedures and laboratory standards is a top priority, alongside identifying quality issues and leading investigations for corrective actions. Effective coordination with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Customer Service teams is necessary to align schedules, priorities, and ensure smooth operations. The role also includes the successful completion of events within the Veralto Enterprise System (VES) and occasionally performing complex experimental tests, data recording, analysis, and reporting. Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment also fall under the supervisor’s duties, requiring technical knowledge and problem-solving skills.

The position demands a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with demonstrated abilities to lead and manage production or technical teams, oversee daily workflows, and meet operational and quality objectives. Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Metrology, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical disciplines, experience in flow or calibration laboratories, and familiarity with measurement systems, quality control, and industrial measurement principles. Strong communication skills and the capability to coordinate across operations, engineering, and quality teams are essential.
