The Floor Technician role at Aramark is a vital position responsible for maintaining and restoring floors using industrial floor care equipment in assigned locations. This position ensures that floors are kept in pristine condition, contributing to the cleanliness and safety of the facility. The responsibilities may vary depending on the client requirements and the specific needs of the business. The Floor Technician will use proper procedures for hard floor care such as stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing. They will also care for carpets and upholstery with methods including shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming. Operating large-scale floor maintenance machinery according to schedules and performing both maintenance and restorative processes are crucial aspects of the role.

Additionally, the Floor Technician handles waste management tasks including the processing of municipal solid waste, infectious waste, and pharmaceutical waste, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards established by Aramark and applicable local agencies. Trash, recyclables, soiled linen, and used supplies are regularly removed from assigned work areas and disinfected as needed. The role requires strict adherence to Aramark's safety, sanitation, and appearance standards, including the consistent use of personal protective equipment and uniforms. Physical demands of the role may involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing.
